Project ground stations in Belgium

Mar 1, 2024 | Active News

Since the beginning of 2024, 3 air sports federations have started to deploy a network of ground stations in Belgium.
Aim is to make non-commercial air traffic electronically “visible” (EC: eConspicuous) to all pilots in the sky.
Our own BULMF, the VVMV – Vereniging Vlaamse Motor Vliegclubs and the LVZC – Liga Van de Vlaamse Zweefvliegclubs, via the VCL, Vlaamse Cluster Luchtsporten have invested 15,000 euros in the purchase of 21 receivers (ground stations/antennas) to be installed by the clubs at Belgian airfields.
This is an absolute first in Europe, and we’re very proud of it!
The stations are currently being deployed in our clubs, and we hope to have them operational by the end of March.
